In this course I will show you how I created a single colour abstract in blues. I am excited at how it turned out. I began by thinking about a path that I had followed through the woods on the weekend and how the tree roots formed natural steps. As I used more and more blue, I let go of this idea and worked with what came to me as I went into flow of the piece and it became the blue sea abstract.
In these videos we will talk about:
- Letting go of fixed ideas as you create an abstract.
- Establishing lines and spaces.
- Creating new spaces as you hook.
- Choosing the next right colour.
- Creating balance with colour in the rug.
- Taking time and breaks.
- Using very small amounts of wool to create interest and detail.
- Finishing slow with attention to detail.
