Large Amethyst crystal. Deep, vibrant purples, natural crystal chevron faces. Amethyst is said to be a stone of protection and aids in giving up bad habits and is used as an aid in meditation.  Each point is shaped by nature, unaided by humankind. The large crystal has one very small bruise. This is a great collector specimen!

Amethyst is a translucent purple variety of quartz and is the birthstone of February. It was once believed to prevent the wearer from getting drunk, and when engraved with the circle of the sun or moon, it was thought to prevent death from poison. It is a hard, brilliant, stone, although large sizes with deep color are now becoming scarce.

This is a natural beautiful crystal that would look beautiful in the bedroom on your nightstand or placed where the light hits it 'just right'.
